Multi-entity books, consolidated.
The second entity is where small finance teams break. A US subsidiary, a holding company or an acquired business doubles the close, introduces intercompany balances that never quite agree, and makes the group numbers a spreadsheet exercise. Solvebooks closes every entity on the same calendar and produces consolidated numbers as part of the month-end, not as a project after it.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
HOW IT RUNS
The work is done inside your systems; a CPA Ontario-registered accountant reviews every output and is accountable for it. You keep final sign-off. How the firm works.
WHO IT IS FOR
US companies with a Canadian entity (or the reverse), groups with a holding company structure, and companies integrating an acquisition.
QUESTIONS
Do we need consolidation software?
Usually not. Entity ledgers stay in Xero or QuickBooks Online; consolidation runs in a controlled reporting model that reconciles to each ledger.
Can you fix intercompany balances that have never agreed?
Yes; it is one of the most common starting points. We rebuild the intercompany history to a point where both sides agree, document the differences, and keep them agreed monthly from then on.
